Safe Flow Classes

CERTIFICATION:
This 40 hour course is for the applicants seeking first-time certification as Backflow Assembly Testers. Topics covered include Definitions, Hydraulics, Codes, Regulations, Devices, Assemblies, Selection and Application, Report Distribution and Field Testing Procedures. The new FCCCHR/USC Tenth Edition procedures are presented.

RE-CERTIFICATION:
This 24 hour course if designed for the returning tester whose current certification is expiring. Applicants are updated on changes implemented since their initial certification or last re-certification. A review is held on the last day of the course.

REPAIR TECHNICIAN:
This advanced course builds on the initial certification and gives a more in-depth look at the hydraulics of the large bore assemblies, their maintenance and repair procedures.

INSPECTOR/SURVEY:
Designed for the Water Industry professional, this course centers on recognition of cross-connections within the piping system and the proper remediation. 24 to 36 hours depending on experience of applicants.

PROGRAM SPECIALIST:
This course prepares the Water Purveyor’s employee to establish a local program. Topics include writing an ordinance, educating the council, creating a spreadsheet to track assemblies, testers and test kits and includes the topics in the Inspector/Survey course. A special examination is required.

IRRIGATION TECHNICIAN:
This course is a time saver for the Boss. We’ll take your new hire and show them the ropes. Let your guys install and let us train the new guy for you.

FIRE SPRINKLER INSPECTION:
This training is for the weekly, monthly, quarterly, six month and annual inspection. What to look for and how to fill out the forms along with inspection techniques are covered. We call it Fire 101.
